Community Conversations with the University of Bath

This summer event organised by the Community Conversations team is for members of the community and local stakeholders at Bath.

At this event, you will be able to meet members of the University’s leadership team, IDSB members research learn about emerging future plans.

IDSB showcase will involve:

  • The Carrier Tool by Dr William Smith and Dr Jiahao Yang – a developing digital tool designed to study how online conversations can shape opinions and beliefs.

  • Digital Gaming and Teens – research by Catherine Bostock examining the views and behaviours of UK teenagers around potential digital gaming harm.

  • Hybrid remote work and organisation culture - research by Guy Thompson presenting insights into how hybrid-remote work is reshaping organisational culture and influencing security behaviours.

  • Threats and Trade-offs – a thought-provoking board game by Prof Adam Joinson exploring decision-making in digital contexts.

Refreshments:

Tea and coffee will be served and an onsite bar will be open for other refreshments.

Venue:

The Bath Pavillion is centrally located in the heart of Bath, between Bath Rugby and Bath Cricket Grounds. There is limited paid-for parking on site on a first come, first served basis, but please use public transport if you are able to do so.
