Researchers explore accountability in safety-critical AI

12-13 January 2026

We were pleased to host a 2-day workshop on Responsibility and Accountability in Safety-Critical AI Applications at the University of Bath, organised by Dr Julian Padget and Andrew Peck (University of Loughborough)

The interactive roundtable brought together 19 participants, including academics and industry representatives to explore risk, attribution, and accountability in safety-critical and adaptive AI systems.

The workshop was supported by the IDSB, the SPRITE+ Network, and the ART-AI CDT.
