IDSB takes online violence against women and young girls action plan to Parliament

15 June 2026

The Institute has taken its evidence-based recommendations on tackling technology-facilitated violence against women and girls (VAWG) to Parliament, presenting a 10-point action plan at a Westminster roundtable hosted by Jess Asato MP.

The event, held on the 15 June, brought together policymakers, government representatives, technology companies, charities and researchers to discuss how the UK's response to online harms can be strengthened.

Drawing on IDSB's interdisciplinary expertise in digital security, behavioural science and online harms, the action plan sets out practical recommendations to improve protections for women and girls online.

The parliamentary engagement highlights IDSB's commitment to ensuring that research informs policy and contributes to creating safer digital environments. Full details of the event and IDSB's recommendations here.
